Boardwalk first met the wonderful Andy King for an Original Features interview in 2022. His enthusiasm and passion for beautifully crafted, contemporary furniture was infectious. The response to the film was amazing and we've been delighted to see the love for Andy and his team's work grow from strength to strength. This is what Bristol independent businesses are all about - rooted in the city (Andy is a keen skater) with a really clearly defined aesthetic, and not an ounce of arrogance.

Originally from an engineering background, Andy’s passion for woodwork developed as a child while working alongside his Dad, a carpenter of over 50 years. This inspired Andy to change career and train as a furniture maker, with a focus on designing and making furniture that is beautifully crafted and environmentally responsible.

Drawing inspiration from great icons like Finn Juhl and Robin Day, and referencing art deco, Danish modern and Japanese aesthetics, King and Webbon’s designs showcase traditional wood working skills alongside modern technology
