From browsing through our Instagram page for interior inspiration to landing a new role, we chat with our new Client Manager, Holly, about how her fresh perspective on estate agency led her to Boardwalk.

Why did you become an estate agent?
My career started in lettings around 25 years ago, I was working in central London for 10 years, then moved to Bristol to start a family. My dad was an estate agent, so I grew up hanging out in show homes and being around that environment from a young age, so it felt natural to progress into estate agency.
I’ve always been interested in property, having completed two big home refurbishments myself. But it’s the interior that really excites me, my home is made up of neutral tones and mixtures of different textures including wood and stone, along with lots of houseplants of course!
Why did you choose Boardwalk?
I discovered Boardwalk as a friend of mine owns Mon Pote on North Street, and Boardwalk launched a competition with them. Since then, I’ve followed Boardwalk on Instagram as I love the interior shots for décor inspiration and enjoy seeing the involvement with independent Bristol businesses.
So, when I saw Boardwalk advertising the job on Instagram, I wasn’t particularly seeking a new job, but I’ve worked in the corporate world for years and saw the need for change to a more modern approach, which is exactly what Boardwalk is doing.
Experiencing first-hand how estate agency has developed throughout the years, but with many agents still stuck in their ways, it’s refreshing to see a company embracing a new perspective on how estate agency should work. This is what makes Boardwalk so original.
Your favourite thing about working for Boardwalk?
I wanted to be part of something I truly believed in and the message behind the brand aligns with my values of focussing on more of a lifestyle approach to estate agency. It’s really refreshing working with a like minded team who have a passion for inspiring property and strive to provide good customer service at the same time.
