Influenced by her passion for sustainability, illustrator and paper artist Sam Pierpoint raises awareness for important issues through her unique paper sculptures. Having created pieces for The Vegan Society, Marine Conservation Society, Extinction Rebellion and Lush, Sam’s pieces are set to inspire and educate about how we can become more environmentally friendly.
Sam has handcrafted three templates of paper house decorations to share, print off and try for yourself, alongside some simple instructions to create your festive Christmas tree ornament. Take your pick between creating a bungalow, terrace house or detached house … or have a crack at all three, you can find the template below!
Instructions for:
Paper Bungalow Decoration

Cut out all of the pieces in your chosen colours.

Score where the red lines are and fold then cut out any window, door, door detail/chimney holes.

Glue the windows and door to the reverse side of the building.

Glue the x2 strips, roof and door detail to the front of the building

Stick the chimney together and add it to the top of the house like with the blue terrace
-
Poke a hole through the top of the house and add some string/ribbon loop tied in a knot and poked through the roof

Glue all of the tabs on the building together and hang it on the Christmas tree!
Paper Terrace House Decoration

Cut out all of the pieces in your chosen colours.

Score where the red lines are and fold then cut out any window, door/chimney holes

Glue the windows, white strip and roof to the front of the building.

Glue the door to the reverse side.

Stick the chimney together and add it to the top of the house.

Poke a hole through the top of the house and add some string/ribbon loop tied in a knot and poked through the roof

Glue all of the tabs on the building together and hang it on the Christmas tree!
Paper Detached House Decoration

Cut out all of the pieces in your chosen colours.

Score where the red lines are and fold then cut out any window, door/chimney holes

Glue the windows, and door to the reverse side.

Layer up the roof tiles and stick them to the front of the building

Layer up the front apex tiles and stick them to the triangle shape.

Stick the white apex and white strips to the front of the building.

Assemble the blue porch and stick to the front of the house as well as the blue bricks above the top window.

Fold the two front faces of the house up and add the extra stone strip to complete the front of the house.

Stick the chimney together and add it to the top of the house.

Poke a hole through the top of the house and add some string/ribbon loop tied in a knot and poked through the roof
