The apartment was really great for enjoying the many things that Bristol has to offer, its a short distance from the Old City of Bristol and city centre to enjoy the sights, wide range of restaurants, nightlife and culture. Its also close to Bristol Temple Meads for trains, buses and taxi's, there is also The Bristol Flyer for longer adventures, the water taxis to the Bristol harbourside. The flat is also situated on the Bristol to Bath Sustrans Route for summer excursions and the bedroom balcony is a nice suntrap. The allocation of residents parking permits also ensured parking on my doorstep when I returned home from work or a long weekend. Its was considerably quiet area with low noise for the apartments.
The Atrium is situated in The Dings, a historic part of Bristol City Centre. The area is now extremely popular for its proximity to Bristol Temple Meads, the rapidly developing City Centre and the several major employers on the eastern side of Bristol’s city centre. The property is on the edge of award-winning 'The Zone' development in Temple Quay, one of the highest regarded in this area of BS2, part of the 'Bristol Temple Quarter Enterprise Zone' which is professed to be 'one of the largest urban regeneration projects in the UK'. Over recent years, many large businesses such as Bank of Ireland and Deloitte have moved into the nearby area along with the construction of many modern residential properties. In the next few years, further regeneration of the Old Market area is set to give this area a further boost. However, even without this further development in the pipeline the immediate area is so central and well-connected; there is little need for a car. In walking distance is Cabot Circus and the shops of the City Centre. Also walkable to the south-west is Bristol's popular harbourside, and to the North West is the bars and restaurants of Cheltenham Road and in turn, Kingsdown, Cotham and Clifton. For those looking to escape the city, the proximity of Bristol's main train station can only be a good thing and the M32 is very nearby in order to get to the countryside, London or the North. This area is also the beginning of the Bristol to Bath cycle path and with a large bike store, this development is ideal for keen cyclists.
