Church Road is a residential road in the heart of Horfield and a few minutes from Horfield Common. Bars, family pubs, and restaurants are abundant in this area. Church Road is a great, social place to live. Gloucester Road is on your doorstep with so many lovely shops, pubs, cafes, restaurants and takeaways. Our top pick would be ‘The Kandyan’ a tasty Sri Lankan restaurant just at the bottom of Church Road. ‘Grounded’ bistro is also a great place to relax with friends or to get some work done with a coffee and their WiFi. There are plenty of green spaces to choose from within short walking distance, Wellington Hill Playing Field being the closest and our favourite! It is a ‘hidden gem’ set back off any roads, a peaceful green space, with great views over the city, just to the other end of Church Road. Yoga classes are great in Horfield Parish Hall, as is the selection of fitness classes and pool at the Horfield Active Centre just around the corner. The atmosphere in ‘The Wellington’ pub on match days is a must experience also! A petrol station, doctors surgery and pharmacy are also conveniently on Church Road and a large Tesco is within a very short walking distance. The flat space itself has been completely renovated.
