Whiteway Road is situated in the heart of St George, just on the hill above Crews Hole, very close to the iconic Troopers Hill, a landmark for East Bristol. The area is popular for having scenic walks nearby along the river, through woodland and parks. St George’s Park is one of the city’s most popular parks and includes tennis courts, a skate park and a lake. There are also plenty of shops and cafes nearby in St George, such as the Orchard Café and The Faraway Tree, with several good eateries having recently established on Church Road. There are several well-regarded schools in the area, meaning this is a popular area with families. For commuters, the area is a short journey into Bristol City Centre by bus, bike or car, whilst also being just a short drive from Bath and the motorway networks as well.
A Message from the Owners
In the last four years we have seen St George become an even more up and coming area, we love how quickly we can walk to the cafes and pubs, as well as walk the dogs at Troopers Hill and St George Park. Within 15 minutes we can drive out to the countryside, or cycle into town. The garden really comes into its own in the summer, with sunlight all day it's great for parties and growing veg. The house is very sociable being open plan but split by the stairs to make it feel cosy in winter. The neighbours on either side are very friendly too. We have loved living in this house (we even had our wedding reception in the back garden earlier this year) and we will be sad to leave. We are hoping to stay in the area as we love living here.
