High Street is a popular, residential road which sits to the north of St Marks Road, close to Greenbank. Residents of this area are extremely complimentary about the neighbourhood and local community, with several local events often organised. The area benefits from its proximity to several green spaces as well as Bristol City Centre via the local cycle path as well as two local train stations and the M32, making it very accessible to commuters. However, it is the amenities on the doorstep which have enhanced the popularity of the area. The independent shops and cafés of St Marks Road are a short walk away, with popular venues such as the Greenbank Pub, Este's Kitchen and No.12 also nearby. The area has an arty feel, with lots of high-quality graffiti in the area, as well as art studios and music venues in the area. Families occupy many of the houses in this area, with many still looking to move to the area due to the recent success of the nearby Whitehall Primary, May Park Primary and Bannerman Road Primary Schools.

Our Seller Says…
‘We have loved living here in a very welcoming and friendly community with amazing local independent shops and with the beautiful green spaces of Greenbank Cemetery and Eastville Park within easy walking distance. Our house is very special to us, it’s warm and cosy but with so much room to move around in and we especially love the atmosphere of the basement rooms where we can relax and easily feel far away from the rest of the house. Waking each morning to the lovely smell of fresh bread being made at the local bakery is joy! Our running costs are very reasonable and the central heating is very efficient, heating the property well throughout. There are, to our knowledge, no issues with the structure of the property and everything seems to work very well. We are moving because the house is too big for the two of us but we love the area so much that we’re only moving a short distance away to a smaller home! We’ve preferred a modest décor while we’ve been here so the house is something of a blank canvas for the next owner to create a style all of their own.’
