Property details

"We initially chose the house due to the close proximity to the Bristol-Bath cycle path and local station, both a few streets away, providing easy and fast access to Bristol Temple Meads as well as other areas of Bristol. Another huge draw was the ability to shop locally on St Marks Road at the legendary Bristol Sweetmart and East Bristol Bakery, with Matter Wholefoods and our local SPAR being even closer to home. Este Kitchen, No.12, Thali, Pipal Tree, and The Garden of Easton are just a few of the great places to eat within a few minutes of the house.

We’ve also really enjoyed the amount of green space nearby, especially over the last year; the cycle path, Greenbank Cemetery, Royal Hill nature reserve, and St George park. There are also lots of allotment sites nearby.

We’re actually pretty gutted to be leaving after renovating the kitchen and completing the extension! The new owners will benefit from all the brand-new appliances which are all really fab. The french doors provide so much light and make the garden feel like an extension of the room, especially in the summer, in the winter the underfloor heating keeps the whole room at the perfect temperature. The garden is full of established shrubs including two apple trees and cherry tree at the end of the garden has beautiful white blossom at the end of March each year."

Located in the quiet pocket between Greenbank Road and Robertson Road, Essery Road is a highly desirable street made up of attractive Victorian terraces and modern homes. The area is shielded from any through-traffic due to the position of Rosemary Green, Greenbank Cemetery and the Bristol to Bath Railway Path, which surrounds the area. Residents of this area are extremely complimentary about the neighbourhood and local community. The area benefits from its proximity to Bristol City Centre, a local train station, and the M32, making it very accessible to commuters. However, it is the amenities on the doorstep which have enhanced the popularity of the area. The independent shops and cafés of St Marks Road are a short walk away, with popular venues such as The Greenbank Pub, Matter Wholefoods, and Este Kitchen, closer still. Families occupy many of the houses in this area, with many more still looking to move to the area due to the nearby Whitehall and May Park Primary Schools.

Placed on Essery Road is this stunning three bedroom home with a beautifully extended kitchen-dining room. Upon entry, you are met by original Victorian entrance tiling and stained glass windows that border the door. The hallway also has an under-stairs toilet.

The front reception room houses wooden floorboards, and bespoke fitted shelving units either side of the period fireplace, complete with original tiles.

The kitchen has been significantly extended and remodelled during the vendor's time in the property, and finished to a very high standard. High quality appliances including a Neff induction hob, oven and extractor hood, Bosch dishwasher and washing machine, AEG fridge-freezer, and tumble dryer are all integrated in deep blue cabinets finished with quartz countertops. Down two stairs to the living space two west-facing skylights flood the room with light. This space is ideal for both socialising and relaxing alike; room for a large table and chairs, as well as a seating area, with Muuto lighting and Crittall-style French doors that open up onto a new patio. There is oak flooring with underfloor heating throughout the room.

Upstairs you will find two double bedrooms, a single bedroom, as well as a family bathroom. The two main bedrooms, landing and stairs have environmentally friendly sisal flooring throughout. The main bedroom has a bay window, and custom-fit wardrobes. The family bathroom has also been recently replaced, housing matching blue bath and sink unit panels, and floor to ceiling white tiling. This property also has the option to extend into the loft, as many have in the area.
