"I will be so sorry to leave this lovely home in Runswick Road, where I have written a novel, composed new songs, grown my own veg and made lots of friends. Living here is almost like being in a village - everyone will respect your privacy, but there are street parties, a neighbourhood WhatsApp group for sharing things and helping each other out, a dog walking group and the best and most fun Pilates teacher ever (you know who you are Rachel Nightingale!) Within walking distance are plenty of options for coffee or lunch - in nearby Sandy Park we now have an excellent Cafe Grounded (dog friendly!) and a lovely Deli with its own cafe; just along the Bath Road is Bocabar at Paintworks for coffees, drinks and pizzas, and even the renowned Arnos Vale cemetery offers great walks and a really good cafe. Runswick Road is situated on the south-western side of Brislington, to the east of Knowle, in between the Wells and Bath Roads which both provide access to the city through the south-easterly suburbs. The road is made up of substantial 1930s, 1950s and new build homes.
