Property details

"When I saw the opportunity to buy this house, I was eager and excited to have another space to get creative and renovate. It was definitely a little run down, but I saw a lot of potential as I love getting stuck into a project. We spent the first three months renovating, starting in December and we didn’t move in until March. We did the lot - ripped up carpets, sanded all the floors, a lot of plastering, installed a log burner and generally just tidied everything up. Then once we moved in, we completed all the paint work and decorating. Six months later, we moved the bathroom upstairs and created an office space downstairs with a new roof, carpets, and plastering. In lockdown we did up the garden and put the decking in, and just last month we painted the back of the house too. It has everything you need! Just around the corner on St Marks Road there’s East Bristol Bakery, Thali, and The Garden of Easton, as well as The Greenbank pub and Este Kitchen close-by too. We’re also a two-minute walk from the Bristol to Bath cycle path which is so handy!"

Britannia Road is in the quiet pocket of Easton, offering a particularly tranquil spot within this vibrant residential area of the city. Easton is renowned for its distinctive character and community spirit and boasts a host of local amenities, attractions and community events that draw many visitors from outside the area. The area is also well connected to the city centre and beyond by the bike path, road and Stapleton Train Station. The M32 and the A431 to Bath are both easily accessible. The area is also home to a number of Bristol's finest independent shops and eateries, hugely popular with locals and visitors alike. Situated along St Marks Road are Bristol Sweet Mart, No 12 Café, Thali Café, and East Bristol Bakery. Also close by are The Greenbank pub, Este Kitchen and Matter Wholefoods. The property is a five-minute walk away from Whitehall Primary School that is consistently rated ‘outstanding’ by Ofsted, while May Park Primary and Bannerman Road Community Academy are similarly well regarded local options. Also close by are Easton Leisure Centre, Easton Cowboys and Cowgirls Sports Club and the Bristol Hawks Gymnastics Club. The area offers a surprising wealth of green spaces including the Bristol to Bath Cycle Path, the parks at Eastville and St George, and riverside walks along the nearby Frome Valley.

Placed in a row of stunning bayfront Victorian houses is this beautifully presented two double bedroom home. Upon entry to this beautiful home, you are met by restored wooden floorboards that lead through to a front reception room. Past the stunning Victorian corbels to either side of the archway, the second reception room houses a log burning stove with an exposed brick surround, as well as French doors that lead out onto a nicely presented garden with decking, making an ideal relaxing and social space. The kitchen is lined with both cupboards and work surface area, as well as space for a breakfast bar with options for shelving above. Towards the back of the kitchen, there is an office space, converted recently from a bathroom that is perfect for working from home. The first floor comprises two double bedrooms, and a newly designed bathroom with honeycomb tiles, a separate rainfall shower and roll-top bath, as well as a repurposed vintage chest of drawers that sits under the sink. As many also have done on the street, there is also the opportunity to extend into the loft, providing the buyer room for growth.
