Property details

'We have loved our time in this house and this area. Easton is a wonderful and vibrant place to live with a great community. It's been a brilliant place to live as a couple, and also to start a family. We love the local cafes, shops and pubs that are in the area, as well as the access to green spaces. It's central location, and access to the Bristol-Bath Railway path and Stapleton Rd Station are a real bonus. Three and a half years ago we converted the loft into a gorgeous light and airy space that is the icing on the cake of this beautiful home.'

Barratt Street is a quiet terraced street offering a particularly peaceful spot within this vibrant residential area of the city. Easton is renowned for its distinctive character and community spirit, and boasts a host of local amenities, attractions and community events that draw many visitors from outside the area. The area is well connected to the city centre and beyond by bike, road and train. The M32 and the A431 to Bath are both easily accessible. The area is also home to a number of Bristol's finest independent shops and eateries, hugely popular with locals and visitors alike. Situated along St Marks Road are Bristol Sweet Mart, Thali Café, East Bristol Bakery, and The Garden of Easton. Also close by are No 12 Café, The Greenbank pub, Este Kitchen, Matter Wholefoods, and Public Market. This house is a nine- minute walk away from Whitehall Primary School that is consistently rated ‘outstanding’ by Ofsted, while May Park is similarly well-regarded local option. Also close by are Easton Leisure Centre, Easton Cowboys and Cowgirls Sports Club and the Bristol Hawks Gymnastics Club, a city-wide family activity attraction. The area offers a surprising wealth of green spaces including the Greenbank Cemetery, the parks at Eastville and St George, and riverside walks along the nearby Frome Valley, and just minutes from the house is the locally cherished Bristol to Bath Cycle Path, ideal for commuting quickly into the city centre or just for weekend strolls, long runs or bike rides.

This house on Barratt Street is arranged over three stories, with a fantastic loft conversion offering a brilliant master suite on the top floor, with views over the rooftops of Easton. Throughout the house there are several bespoke features, with some fine examples of handcrafted carpentry and joinery from the current owners. Below the main bedroom on the second floor are two double bedrooms and a bathroom which also houses a utility cupboard. On the ground floor there are two reception spaces and a kitchen, which in turn leads to a smartly landscaped private courtyard garden. The house has an abundance of character throughout, with several improvements made by the current sellers to allow its new owner to move straight in and enjoy this home.
