"We moved to Lyde Green when it was a fledgling community of less than 100 homes back in the spring of 2015 and have watched it grow over the last 7 years becoming the friendly, diverse community it is now.
It’s a great place to raise a family with a nursery and welcoming, supportive school which too has grown from its 23 pupils in its inaugural class, of which my daughter was one, to the current 400 plus pupils that now attend.

The community centre is the heart of the estate, and caters for everyone whether that be a playgroup, book club, sports or youth group, or simply just a coffee and a treat at the Coffee shop which operates from within it.

One of the reasons we moved to Lyde Green was its location, situated on the edge of beautiful countryside. Within a few minutes’ walk of our house, you can be on the peaceful path towards Westerleigh where we have encountered all sorts of wildlife from horses to deer. The cycle path to Bath is also within a short distance and we have often enjoyed an ice cream from the Tea Rooms at Warmley on a sunny day.

The bridges and brook that run throughout the estate are a firm favourite for playing pooh sticks and children can often be found building dens in the brush on the water’s edge. The lake is also popular with the local Heron who is often seen dipping his feet browsing for his next meal.

Larch Close is a small, quiet cul-de-sac with lovely neighbours who are always on hand if help is ever needed and look out for one another. We shall miss them greatly when we move and only hope that our next neighbours will be as kind and friendly.
