"40 Warden Road was the first opportunity we had to really shape a home around how we wanted it, in an area that we loved. It had been rented and unloved for a long time before we arrived so we had a relatively blank canvas to work with. You enter on the raised ground floor but there’s terrific light and views from the first floor where the front room is wider, as you don’t have the entrance hall that you have on the below, so we decided to do an upside down house.
