Nottingham Street is a quiet residential road situated in a hugely popular part of Bristol, just on the fringe of the expansive Victoria Park. The area is ideal for commuters both within Bristol and to the cities beyond through the trains at nearby Temple Meads. The local primary school, Victoria Park, is well thought of locally and along with St Mary Redcliffe has enhanced the appeal of this area and nearby Windmill Hill for young families. This has been a great place to live.
The house is steps from Victoria Park, the best green space in Bristol. The park has a big programme of community events and a lovely family feel. We pop over to the park most days for a coffee, a picnic, a run, or a quick walk. It is a brilliant place to meet friends and especially popular with kids. It is great to watch the changing seasons in the park and is especially beautiful in autumn.
We walk or cycle to North Street, Wapping Wharf and Wells Road all the time. The south-facing terrace at The Victoria Park is lovely on a summer's evening and Windmill Hill City Farm café does great breakfasts.
It is easy to walk to work in the city centre or cycle via the new cycle route through the park. Temple Meads and Bedminster Railway Station are very close.
Our neighbours are friendly and quiet. The street has a good mix of residents of different ages, with many young professionals. Gill Convenience Store at the end of the road has a remarkably good range of essentials, which can be very handy.
Overall it is a cosy, relaxing place to live on a quiet street with lovely green space access, and well placed for everything Bristol has to offer. We hope the new owner enjoys it as much as we have.
