Community and Connection - Surfing with Matilda Jackson

Back to Journal

‘It's been completely life changing to be part of the club and meet so many amazing women and have those experiences.’

Founder and chair of directors at Bristol Girls Surf Club, Matilda Jackson, talks to us about the power of community, the importance of playfulness, and how surfing gives her space to breathe.

Before catching some waves at Bristol's inland surf destination, The Wave, we hear how Bristol Girls Surf Club helped Matilda to meet new people, make friends and settle into Bristol. The club is open to all abilities and Matilda is a firm believer that surfing is for everyone - it's all about having fun, letting go and getting outside of your head.
